FUS-2000 Urinalysis Hybrid Performance Evaluation

Objective:To evaluate the performance index of urine sediment test measuring with FUS-2000 Urinalysis Hybrid. A microscope will be introduced in a urine sediment test to inspect the formed elements in urine samples including different types of pathology components, such as cells, urinary casts, crystals, and bacterium. This test is an important routine test item[1]that serves the diagnosis, orientation, differential diagnosis, and prognosis of urinary system diseases. Traditionally, a urine sediment test is conducted manually with a microscope, which has a slow test speed and is easy to cause errors among different operators. However, the application of automatic Urine Sediment Analyzer makes an improvement to the traditional ways and meets the demands of efficiency in modern medical inspection. Method: 200 fresh urine samples were randomly selected for testing the repetition, detection limit, recognition rate, stability, and carry-over contamination rate of FUS-2000 Urinalysis Hybrid. Result:  The repetition of low value was 12.16%, high value was 4.88%; high detection limit of up to 100%; accordance rate of RBC, WBC, and CAST were 74.88%, 82.76%, and 73.89%; false negative rate 2.46%; repetition rate of stability test 7.34%; carry-over contamination rate 0.05%. Conclusion:FUS-2000 Urinalysis Hybrid can provide clear images. And non-centrifuged samples are acceptable. It is of a high test speed which is time-saving and is easy to operate. Regarding the test results, it realizes a high accordance with that of microscopic examination, and has reliable integrated performance and higher clinical value.
